  After staying for 4 nights and not getting good sleep because of the loudness, the smell and bad matresses we tried to get our money back (we paid everything in advance – do not do this!!!) and move out. The woman in charge yelled at us for half an hour and I guess I am glad for not understanding what she said. After half an hour another woman came and they yelled together even louder. So we gave up and had to stay four more nights in this terrible place.

  People working there does not speak a word English, so in case you do not speak good Spanish or better Basque – no real communication will be possible.

  Si pudiera, no le daría ni una estrella porque no se lo merece. Acabo de llamar, con fecha de Noviembre, a este lugar para reservar sitio para Agosto del año que viene y la señora se negaba a reservarme ninguna habitación, a pesar de haber dicho que tiene sitio en su agenda, porque hay personas que repiten todos los años y a mi no me va a guardar ninguna habitación por si esa gente decide ir. No entiendo como aun hoy en día existen lugares como este donde no importa cuándo llames, sino quién llame. Es una vergüenza.

  The furniture was cheap, old and smelled of formaldehyd like in the homes of very old people.

  Downstairs there is a restaurant, that is why in the evening you get the greasy fish smell upstairs. It is allowed to smoke in your room (which is terrible to my mind) so in the corridor it stank of tobacco. I have never seen fire-extinguisher of any kind anywhere which is pretty scary.

  It's clean, the food and wine is good and inexpensive. The location is wonderful. Only possible downside is the rooms are the floors up - not a problem for us. At €50 a night b&b it is great value. Oh, and the staff are fab.

  The floor was dirty and sticky because of the broken coating so you could not go barefoot in your room.

  The room looks very poor, more like a monastic room – no decoration at all, the beds are separated, the walls are broken, the light was broken, the curtain construction was broken as well and nobody repaired anything.
